The scope of Imam’s knowledge was always the difference between Shiite and Sunni scholars and has had the detailed discussion. This issue is also controversial between the Shi'a scholars and there is no single opinion about that. This survey, that has descriptive-analytic method, examines the scope of Imam's knowledge in terms of transmitted method. This is done by collecting and categorizing the Hadiths, examining their validity and, finally, analyzing them. The result of this study is that the knowledge of the infallible Imam is not limited and enclosed in the circle of the teachings of religion, but is much broader, and includes things like past and future events, the deaths and disasters, the inner of human beings, all languages, the language of animals, knowledge of the first and the last, and even the world of rest and resurrection, and the conditions of heaven and hell.
